Anl\u00e4sslich des 75. Jahrestages des 2. August 1944 - dem europ\u00e4ischen Roma-Holocaust-Gedenktag - wird am 31. Juli in Krakau die Ausstellung \"TEARS OF GOLD\/ SOWNAKUNE JASFA\" er\u00f6ffnet, die Werke europ\u00e4ischer K\u00fcnstler zeigt, die sich mit dem Thema Holocaust-Erinnerung auseinandersetzen.<\/p>

KURATORISCHES KONZEPT:<\/strong><\/p>

In dem Gedicht \"Blutige Tr\u00e4nen\" fasst Papusza (Bronislawa Wajs, 1908-1987) - eine der ber\u00fchmtesten Roma-Dichterinnen - die Schrecken des Zweiten Weltkriegs zusammen, indem sie das individuelle und kollektive Trauma der Kriegserfahrungen der Roma in Europa zum Ausdruck bringt. W\u00e4hrend des Roma-Holocausts wurden mindestens 500.000 Roma-M\u00e4nner, -Frauen und -Kinder massakriert, wobei in einigen L\u00e4ndern bis zu 90 % der gesamten Roma-Bev\u00f6lkerung ausgel\u00f6scht wurden. Die Erfahrungen der Vergangenheit wurden noch schmerzhafter gemacht, weil es jahrzehntelang der \"vergessene Holocaust\" war - unerkannt, unsichtbar gemacht, unaufgearbeitet. Der Roma-Holocaust pr\u00e4gt bis heute die transnationale kollektive Identit\u00e4t der Roma, und seine Folgen werden bis heute gelebt.<\/p>

Aber die Erinnerung an den Holocaust ist auch eine m\u00e4chtige Quelle der Inspiration - und \u00fcberraschende Sch\u00f6nheit und Kraft - f\u00fcr Generationen von Roma-Holocaust-\u00dcberlebenden und ihre Kinder. Ceija Stojka, eine Roma-Holocaust-\u00dcberlebende aus \u00d6sterreich und eine ber\u00fchmte Roma-Malerin, -Schriftstellerin und -Aktivistin, benutzte die Sprache der Kunst, um unter den Roma ein Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die Bedeutung unseres eigenen kulturellen Fortbestehens zu schaffen. Sie glaubte, dass \"das Blut der Opfer sich in den H\u00e4nden der neuen Generation in Gold verwandeln wird\". Die Erinnerung an den Holocaust ist ein Anker in der schmerzhaften Vergangenheit der Roma - aber unser \u00dcberleben ist die verbindende Kraft der Roma-Gemeinschaften heute. Die Narben werden Teil unseres Verm\u00e4chtnisses, die uns helfen, die Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit, den Widerstand und die Kraft zu feiern, die unsere blo\u00dfe Existenz darstellt.<\/p>

Wie in der alten japanischen Kunst des Kintsugi, bei der St\u00fccke zerbrochener Keramik mit Hilfe von Gold wieder zusammengesetzt werden, wird so die Roma-Identit\u00e4t wieder zusammengesetzt und gibt Zeugnis von unserem \u00dcberleben. Die Philosophie des Kintsugi bekr\u00e4ftigt, dass Bruch und Reparatur Teil der lebendigen Geschichte sind und nicht etwas, das dieser verschleiert werden muss. Auch f\u00fcr die Roma ist die Erinnerung an den Holocaust der verbindende Klebstoff der heutigen Roma-Gemeinschaften und spiegelt die majest\u00e4tische Sch\u00f6nheit der \u00fcberlebenden Roma-Kultur wider.<\/p>

Das Gold ist ein Symbol der Himmlischen, der Unzerst\u00f6rbarkeit, der Ewigkeit, der Unsterblichkeit, der Herrlichkeit, der Vollkommenheit, der geistigen Erleuchtung, der Vitalit\u00e4t, des Blutes, des Lebens. \u00dcber Jahrhunderte hinweg wurde Gold mit der Sonne und dem Himmel assoziiert; Kirchen und Ikonen wurden vergoldet, um das g\u00f6ttliche Sacrum darzustellen. Ebenso verwenden viele Romani-Mythen und -Legenden die mit Gold verbundene Symbolik.<\/p>

Die Ausstellung \"Tears of Gold\" pr\u00e4sentiert Werke von K\u00fcnstlern, die sich mit dem Thema der Erinnerung an den Holocaust auseinandersetzen. Durch die Kunst evozieren sie das Trauma des Zweiten Weltkriegs und geben damit ein Zeugnis f\u00fcr die Erinnerung an den Holocaust der Roma als Pr\u00e4misse f\u00fcr die R\u00fcckgewinnung von Identit\u00e4t und Existenz. Das traumatische Erbe des Holocausts wird in metaphorisches Gold verwandelt, das die fragmentierten St\u00fccke der Erinnerung zusammenbringt, um das vernarbte, aber sch\u00f6ne kulturelle Ganze der Roma zusammenzusetzen.<\/p>

Veranstalter
<\/b><\/span>Die von Krzysztof Gil und Anna Mirga-Kruszelnicka kuratierte Ausstellung wird organisiert vom European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC)<\/a>, dem Zentralrat Deutscher Sinti und Roma, dem Dokumentations- und Kulturzentrum Deutscher Sinti und Roma<\/a>und dem ternYpe International Roma Youth Network<\/a>. Es ist verbunden mit dem Jugendevent \"Dikh he na Bister\",<\/a>an dem \u00fcber 500 Jugendliche aus ganz Europa teilnehmen, sowie mit der offiziellen Gedenkfeier zum 2. August, die jedes Jahr in Krakau und Auschwitz-Birkenau stattfindet.<\/p>
