Holocaust Memorial Days

An overview of remembrance and education in the OSCE region

This sixth edition of the OSCE-ODIHR publication on Holocaust Memorial Days: An overview of remembrance and education in the OSCE region provides information on when, where, and how OSCE participating States promote the commemoration and study of the Holocaust and the extermination and persecution of Roma and Sinti, in line with their OSCE commitments.

It features information on Holocaust commemoration, education and research, memorial sites and best practices, and is intended to assist participating States in their efforts to promote the education about and the commemoration of all victims of Nazi persecution.

The information was provided via an online questionnaire disseminated by ODIHR to all participating States.

Download the publication from the OSCE website.  The publication was released on 27 January 2020.
