Memorial to the Sinti and Roma of Europe murdered under National Socialism, Berlin (DE), 2 August 2020, 21:00 CET

August 2, 2020 marks the 76th anniversary of the “Liquidation of the Gypsy Family Camp” in Auschwitz-Birkenau. In the night of 2 August 1944, SS members murdered the more than 4,000 remaining Sinti and Roma in gas chambers – most of them women, children and elderly people who were classified as unfit for work.

After the event there is the possibility to lay flowers at the fountain of the monument. Please bring one with you! Thank you very much.
